Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a school or other educational establishment, based in Leicester or Leicestershire.
  • Must have a staff member that will act as the liaison for the project.
  • Must agree to collect at least one of the items listed above.
  • Must be able to ensure only appropriate items are donated.

 

Costs

The scheme is complete free to join and start collecting items. Collections from schools in Leicester & Leicestershire are free. Any collections outside of these areas can be arranged at 60p/mile from the office address. Alternatively, you can save up enough for a large box and post it to us.

You can create your own collection boxes (please see the video below) or we can provide branded recycling boxes. These boxes cost £12 each and include free delivery to anywhere in the UK. You can order one by emailing info@cogyouthservices.co.uk.

 

Please note, due to the rising cost of services, we may now start charging a small fee for incorrect items being sent to us to cover the extra cost of disposing of them. This includes a new fee of 20p/glue stick sent to us to cover the cost of specialist recycling or disposal fees. Please contact us for more details.

How COG Youth Services Benefits

Every item we recycle through Terracycle is awarded points and these points can then be converted to a financial amount and donated to a Charity or Not-For-Profit of the registered collectors choice. As a Not-For-Profit organisation, we use our points to support our youth groups across Leicester and Leicestershire. If you would prefer to support another cause then you can go to the Terracycle website and either register your school or find another local collector to donate your items to. Each point is currently valued at 1p.
